Pre Care Treatment
Prepare for your whitening treatment the best you can!
Eating:
Make sure you eat prior to your whitening treatment. We recommend waiting an hour before you eat or drink anything, besides water.
Dental Cleaning:
To achieve best results make sure you've had a dental cleaning within 6 months of your treatment. This will remove the "film layer" on your teeth, providing faster results. If you have not had a cleaning the whitening gel has to remove the film layer prior to removing the stains. This will reduce the whitening results for some.
Piercings:
Take out piercings that are in your mouth.
Sores/Cuts:
Be sure you have no sores or cuts in your mouth as this will cause discomfort. If you have gingivitis and or periodontal disease you should consult your dentist prior to whitening.
Can I whiten during pregnancy?
It's recommended you contact your physician prior to whitening. No government issued restrictions currently exist.
What is the age restriction? The current age restriction is 12 and under.
How white will my teeth get?
After undergoing whitening, teeth shades will brighten up to 5 shades, with an average improvement of three to five shades. Individual results will depend on your current tooth shade, treatment time, and the composition of your teeth. The end result will be a whiter, healthier smile. Everyone’s teeth are different and will have a genetic stop point. We recommend a 30 minute session for optimal results, and to remove all layers of staining. Additional treatments may be needed based on starting color.
Can I do this treatment if I have crowns, caps or veneers?
Yes, it is safe for crowns, caps and veneers, and stains will be removed during whitening, returning to their original color.
Post Care Treatment
Now that your smile is brighter, lets keep it that way!
First Hour:
Drink only water and don't eat anything for one hour after your whitening treatment.
The gel remains inside the tubules and continues to whiten.
First 24 Hours:
For the first 24 hours after whitening, as the tubules are still resealing. Do not consume food or drinks that are likely to cause stains. Such as blueberries, tomato sauces, beets, carrots, dark gravy, curries, red wine, coffee, tea, colas, etc.
White Spots on Gums:
Should you have any scrapes or cuts on your gums you may see some white spots and/or feel some sensitivity during your whitening session. These will normally disappear within 24 hours. Your organic teeth whitening treatment will actually help heal these spots.

Sensitivity:
A small percentage of people will have minor tooth and/or gum sensitivity. This normally dissipates within 30 minutes. If sensitivity persists, use a toothpaste developed for sensitivity.
Touch Up Treatments:
After your initial whitening session a 30 minute "touch-up" session every 6 months is recommended.
