10 minutes late is considered a no show.

If you are at all late for your scheduled appointment time,  we may or may not be able to provide you service based on our schedule  following your appointment time. 

PLEASE CALL OR TEXT if you know you are going to be late so  that we can make every effort to work with you to reschedule, if  necessary.

Please understand that many times our appointments are  scheduled back-to-back and your tardiness effects appointments following  yours. We will not put ourselves behind schedule in order to accommodate  any client. We do not guarantee service for late arrivals.

Any cancellation less than 24 hours in advance of  appointment time will be charged 100% of the scheduled service price. NO EXCEPTIONS. This covers the time held for you.

Hush Tan requires a credit card to hold all appointments. Your  card information is securely stored with Square and is ONLY charged in the event of a late cancel or no-show.

Tanning for a special occasion or trip? Get your manis, pedis or facials done before you come see us.

24 - 48 Hours Prior Exfoliate!! Exfoliation is the most important step to a successful airbrush tan. Exfoliate your skin all over. Don’t forget your elbows, ankles, neck and underarms!  We highly recommend our HUSH Exfoliating Mitt for the absolute best and  most even exfoliation pre-tan. Mitts may be purchased online here.

Shave, wax or remove any unwanted body hair. Do not use any oil-based products. Oils can leave a film on your skin  that can block the absorption of the sunless tanning solution.

Drink lots of water. Keeping your skin hydrated from the inside out  will help you retain color longer and will promote more even fading of  your sunless tan.

Be prepared! pack / wear dark - sweats, pajama pants, romper, loose clothing. No denim, tights or clothes that rub. 

Prepare for rain. We live in the Pacific NW. Ensure you will be covered from  head to toe as even a drop of water can ruin your new glow.

Rinse to remove any sweat or body product residues.  We do not recommend washing your hair or body with any products prior to  your session as there is always a chance they could leave a barrier on  your skin. Dove, Dial, Ivory or any “moisturizing” soaps or body washes  are a definite NO with of your sunless expierence!

No lotions, oils, perfumes or body sprays prior.  

Ladies: Pack or wear dark colored  undergarments or swimsuits. You may undress to your comfort level.  Please note: if you are tanning for an occasion where you would prefer  not to have a tan line, you may tan topless. If you do not feel  comfortable going topless, we have pasties available for purchase.

Men: Wear dark boxers or briefs. Men MUST wear some sort of undergarment. No exceptions.

Continue wearing your dark, loose fitting clothing for at least six to eight hours while your tan develops.

Do not get wet for at least eight hours with a regular solution. This  includes showers, rain drops, dog licks, exercise, swimming, saunas or any other activities  that may get your skin wet or cause you to sweat. Also, do not wear tight fitting shoes, bras or sports bras during this time.

GENTLE RINSE + Hush Tan Body Wash

luke-warm water. Only use  your hands (no loofahs or exfoliants) to remove the bronzer, and focus your attention to your legs,  behind your arms, and creases. The #1 cause for streaks is that the bronzer was  not rinsed off properly and can stain the skin for a few days. 

Pat yourself dry with a towel  post-shower. Do not rub!

If you visibly see streaks, pop  back in the shower and do another rinse.

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your tan or service, whether that was a mistake on our part or you weren't able to follow aftercare instructions properly, please let us know via email asap. Resprays must be done within 24 hours of original service. We do not respray for color that developed too light as this is based on many factors out of our control.

Keep your skin hydrated by drinking plenty of water and by using  natural products. No mineral oil, alpha hydroxy acids, petroleum,  alcohol or exfoliating ingredients as they will strip your skin and fade  your tan within a few days. To protect your spray tanning investment,  we offer high-quality, naturally-based and paraben-free moisturizers and  tan extenders in both travel and full sizes. Moisturizing daily will give you the ultimate results.

Spray tanning does not in any way protect your skin from UV rays.

When swimming, limit your time in the water to 10 to 15 minute  increments, if possible. Pat or air dry after. Water is a natural  exfoliant. Soaking for long periods of time will dramatically fade your  tan.

Use a waterproof, reef safe sunscreen to help protect your skin from harsh  pool chemicals and salt water on vacations. Use a tan extender, "hush vaca glow travel pack" highly recommended to help keep your color.
